Settled in the scenic hills of southern Indiana, Orleans is a peaceful and pleasant community.  The oldest town in Orange County, it has a population of 2,142 citizens.  Orleans is within easy traveling distance to Indianapolis (88 miles northeast), Louisville, KY (57 miles southeast), and Bloomington (40 miles north).
